Where have I been?
Where have I been?

As I surf the Internet each day, I have some regular stops, especially websites with frequently changing content. One of my favourite sites is Petals, Wings and Things and you have to admire their commitment to delivering new content every day. Me, not so much!
My beloved 7D was in for servicing (preventative only) so I missed all of October and the passing migrants which included White-crowned Sparrows, White-throated Sparrows and a single Rusty Blackbird. My single regret of not having my camera was being unable to capture the late female Ruby-throated Hummingbird that was still here up until October 25. It was feeding on our late blooming Weigela bush and the neighbours fuchsia. I hope she makes it before winter settles in.
My feeders are up and prepped for the winter and Project Feederwatch starts next weekend. The Dark-eyed Juncos are here now as well as American Tree Sparrows joining the usual cast of characters, Northern Cardinal, Blue Jays, Downy Woodpeckers and Mourning Doves. I haven’t seen any Nuthatches yet but I expect them anytime and I have a new peanut feeder for them.
Since I have no recent content, I thought about posting some of my favourites images that I captured earlier this summer. I hope these tide you over until I get some winter visitors.
